Baros Island Beach

Introduction :

Baros is a private coral island fringed with palm trees, hibiscus and bougainvillaea and a powder-white beach that shelves gently into the blue lagoon.

Unwind on the beach, go swimming in the sparkling turquoise waters, be pampered in the spa or take a relaxing cruise on a traditional sailing dhoni.

The waters around Baros are perfect for scuba diving, with a choice of more than 30 world-class dive spots nearby, including Manta Point, where you can dive down to a 18m-deep ledge and get within touching distance of up to a dozen giant manta rays, some up to 3m across. The best season to see the rays is June to November.

Or snorkel the island's easy-to-reach offshore reefs – the resort offers day and night snorkelling safaris guided by the resident marine biologist.

The Best Time For Visit :

The high season is December to April. It’s the best time to go regarding weather. Temperatures during high season range between 86 to 90 Fahrenheit during the day and 77 to 79 at night.

How to Reach There :

Baros Island is located in the central southern part of North Malé Atoll, about 20 to 25 minutes by speedboat from the capital, Malé, and the Maldives International Airport. North Malé Atoll is 58km long and is home to around 50 islands (including the capital Malé).
